Job Description:

Working with and reporting to Outshine’s Director of Operations, the Marketing Manager is responsible for managing Outshine’s day-to-day marketing activities. You’ll work with advertising and analytics experts on the team, as well as other industry leaders and partners to highlight our latest work, community involvement, and what life at Outshine is like.

This includes:

  • Overseeing content creation on behalf of our brand, including ideation, interviewing, writing, design, and distribution of blog posts, ebooks, case studies

  • Working with industry partners to build relationships and cross-promote work and services through events, blog posts, etc

  • Managing Outshine’s online presence, including social channels and website

  • Organizing events as the opportunity arises through Outshine, industry, and community partners

  • Promoting Outshine by helping colleagues with speaking pitches/submissions, pitching articles and interviews to media/podcasts/etc

  • Developing our brand and story as the team and our work evolve

  • Ability to manage several projects at once from start to finish

  • Ability to understand highly technical tools, processes, and strategies and turn those concepts into engaging stories for target audience groups

  • Confidence to try new things, suggest new ideas, test and experiment

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in a digital marketing role

  • Experience communicating complex subjects in a clear, easy-to-digest way

  • Experience in B2B marketing strategy is an asset

  • A background in PR, journalism, marketing, or similar

  • You must be willing to work from Halifax (either you live here already or are willing to relocate)
